Here are a few things I was obsessed with last month!! Heads up most of them are kitchen items. I am trying to work on my goal of eating more real food which lead me back into the kitchen.
1. PLAN TO EAT:
This meal planning site has a been a lifesaver for me. As I have mentioned before, my hubby got a new job in October of last year. With the new job, I now shop every other week vs. weekly. This means meal planning for 2 weeks at a time which was proving challenging. I would forget ingredients, not buy enough ingredients or other such mistakes that would send us back to the store several times. Then I heard about Plan to Eat on another blog. Basically you enter all your recipes and then you add them to a planning calendar. Once you enter them on the calendar, it automatically populates a grocery list. There are also ways to enter notes on the calendar such as restaurant, and also add meals to your freezer. I HAVE BEEN LOVING IT! Click the link above to get a free month trial!
2. Laura in the Kitchen:
I have been obsessed with watching and trying out her recipes. My freezer is full of yummy breads thanks to her. I highly recommend the Pizza Bites, Brownies, Baguettes, and the Honey Oat Bread pictured above!
4. Thrift Shopping:
I went to @ScholarShopSTL, a local thrift store this past weekend for their spring launch (On the 31st, No cheating on The Month of No). My spring clothing is in bad shape…meaning I have none. It is so bad, I didn’t even have to use the vacuum on my space saver bag when I packed up spring/summer. I got so much great stuff, but the highlight is a Gap academy blazer for $18. I don’t think its been worn more than once. The original tag was in the pocket!
What were some of your January favorites????
