So what do you say on a first post? Hello! Welcome! Thanks for coming!
The first thing to know about me is that I am always looking for a way to do things a little differently, so instead of a traditional first post, where I talk about me, me, me, I decided to mix it up a little bit. I want this to be a welcoming place, where we can both share (Well I will probably share first and then you can share back in the comments..I think this is how this blog thing works…we can try it out together..share your notes).
I want you to feel as welcome here as country kitchen where there is a window open and a baked pie on the ledge cooling for dinner. We are sitting at the kitchen table and having a conversation and there is a nice summer breeze through the window. Aaahhh great right! What are we talking about you might ask. Well I see us talking about God, his plans for our life, current events, you know just what is going on in everyday life. Maybe a little reality TV talk also:)
Maybe we could talk about my husband Deaundre or about our wedding 4 years ago. Maybe we could talk about what it was like to grow up in St. Louis Missouri with both of my parents. How many siblings do you have? Oh I just have my one sister Brittany, we are 10 years apart.
After I eat this pie, I am probably gonna have to hit the gym. I am trying to get into better shape. I have PCOS and the best way to treat my symptoms is with weight loss and a healthy diet. Oh yea and don’t feel too guilty about the pie, it’s homemade with organic ingredients.
Who are all those kids outside, you ask??? Well they are not mine, lol. I do not have any children yet. We are getting some things together first. Wait a second…let me reach over here…. and turn on this radio to listen to the Dave Ramsey Show. His tips are helping us get out of debt and get our life! I follow him on Twitter also. Wait are you following me? I am @Mrs_Drequel (Dre+Raquel get it?) on Twitter and MrsDrequel on Instagram. I am just Raquel Bennett Jefferson on Facebook.
I am really intrigued by all forms on social media. I find it fascinating how people are building business and realizing their dreams online these days. They offer a certificate program at UMSL (University of Missouri-St. Louis) for Digital Marketing. I think I will take a few classes this fall….
Yea so that’s me,a child of God, a wife not yet a mother, a sister, a St. Louis native, who is working on getting out of debt, getting fit, and expanding her career. But enough about me… tell me about you!
…How big of a slice would you like:)
