I tried you guys. I tried to find an appropriate cake hunting song. It’s hard. Please leave me some suggestions below. It looks like Chris Brown and Rhianna won this round.
For the past few weeks, my hubby and I have been out on a mission to see all (read: most) of the St. Louis 250 Anniversary Cakes. This year is St. Louis’ 250th anniversary. To celebrate, 250ish cakes have been placed around the city at various landmarks, attractions, companies, etc. For more info, feel free to visit www.stl250.com
So after seeing a few of these guys around town, I became intrigued. We downloaded the app on hubby’s phone (for some reason it would not work on my phone) and armed with our list, we were off and running. Below are some of my favorite ones!
St. Charles Old Courthouse
Historic Hanley House
St. Louis Art Museum
The Lodge at Des Peres
It is always fun when you run into another hunter at a cake. You can always tell a cake hunter because the app used to check in is …well ….challenging. It would be better if the cake and the GPS location of the cake were the same place, but no. This is not always the case. I am glad its the hubby and not me looking down at the phone, then holding it up…then looking down at the phone…then walking a few paces…then holding it up. I am sure people think we are crazy.
Stay tuned for more cake pictures. I will update the blog from the hunt! Feel free to Facebook, Tweet, or comment with your cake experiences. Maybe we can help each other! HINT: The Katy Trail and Fort Zumwalt Park address on the list…not correct. You have been warned:)
